Can you build a shed on an easement?
Yes, whilst it may be possible to build on an easement – it is up to the relevant Council body to approve or disapprove of the build. Depending on what the easement has been built there for, will determine your answer. If for example the easement was built for the purpose of water run off in heavy rain and flooding – this is something that you wouldn’t want to build on – you don’t want your new shed to float away!
